Add Option To Remove Order From Pickwave By Picker

We deal with various products with batch codes / dye lots but don't currently log these (although the FIFO feature is available - mainly due to time constraints and it being open to errors when entering dye lot / batch codes). Therefore to help assist with these orders that pickers are unable to fulfil due to insufficient stock of a batch type we would like an option to remove order from pick wave by the picker (and to ideally add a reason or place this in a new pick wave with the reason so that a manager can assess).

Hello Jared,

Aimee requested that we raise this on here. The current solution we use for genuine stock errors but there is no solution for when stock is actually there but with an issue i.e. say one is broken/damaged or in our case not all dye lots match in the fabrics/for quantity on the order. We are wanting to raise it to a new Pickwaves for a manage to check without all the hassle of having to stock take it and then manually interfere with the order's status to get this pickable again once resolved/located.

Hi Josh,
I'm afraid we cant implement this specific feature for you because pickers don't have any knowledge on the app about orders. They are just directed to a location and told to pick an amount. This for example could be 5 units for 3 orders or 5 units for 1 order.

As you have previously mentioned, in order to be able to do this you would need to use FIFO as that is exactly what it was designed for. It will ensure the correct batches are picked and also recorded against the order for future CS.

If you need to remove orders from pickwaves then this is a desktop operation from the edit pickwave screen.

Sorry we couldnt help on this one.

Thanks,

Jared

Hello Jared,

Ok thank you we will just have to wait and see if this gets any traction. Please could you reopen it for others to see. The current set up is longwinded vs the process we have suggested.

HI Josh,

this is available on the app by way of the "Stock Problem" action. The system flags it as an issue and will try to allocate stock from another location if it can. If no stock is available the order is removed from the pickwave and any not required stock is marked to be put back.

Thanks,

Jared
