Pre-Orders - Being able to change Dates for Orders to be available for despatching
In our business, we have a lot of pre-orders or items that cannot be sent out until their release date. Having an option to make a product with a release date meaning they could not be dispatched before this date or something to that effect would be amazing. We can obviously dispatch them the day/two days before depending on shipping time to customers but currently only record these manually. Is there any way we can do this better?

I believe the team are already looking at adding a dispatch date , but for the time being you could use the special attribute field to note the delayed dispatch, or you could book the stock into a location in a separate zone so you can easily filter it out. Alternatively you could use the supplier stock quantity to sell your items and not book your stock into the warehouse until you’re ready to release it - this was the orders would come in on pending all stock until you were ready. None of these are ideal but I’d look at using one of the above if I were you. HTH
Unfortunately not booking items into the warehouse isn't really an option as we cannot have things unaccounted for and that would also rely on the warehouse team knowing it had a release date (which isn't always possible). Additionally some of our suppliers are very cagey about what their stock figures are and just give us In/Out Good/Low/Out of stock 'figures'. Great to know the team are looking into it.
