EAN Auto Assign Child Variants

We already have the option to push supplier info etc to child variants. Can we have the option to Auto Assign barcodes to child variants as well as just the parent. For those of us selling non barcoded products it can be a long winded process to enter each child variant and hit the auto fill button.
